Changing Lanes Movie Story - Synopsis. A minor collision during rush-hour will turn two strangers into enemies. Both men are on their way to meetings on New York City's FDR Drive — Doyle(Samuel L. Jackson,) is late for divorce court and Gavin(Ben Affleck,) is supposed to be in court for a case that could make or break his career. Gavin has left behind a file folder containing evidence that's crucial to his case. A chain reaction that could destroy their lives is about to begin. Their means of destroying one another are different, but their goals are to try to dismantle the other's life in an effort to reclaim the tings he has lost.
