Stranger Than Fiction Movie Story Synopsis

Harold Crick (Will Ferrell) is a bureaucrat who works for the IRS as an agent. His daily routine is timed very precisely. One day he hears a woman's voice in his head describing every detail of his moves. It seems that his death is imminent. The owner of the voice is novelist Jane (Emma Thompson), whose latest book features Harold as her main character. Jane struggles to find a way to finish her book since she has a writers block, by letting him die she might succeed. Harold however wants to find her before it's too late. Dustin Hoffman helps Harold in his quest to find Jane as professor Jules Hilbert who is aware of the "theory" of literarure.
